There will be a boatload of JFK Assassination articles,information, news reports,theories,interveiws,t shirts,etc out there for the 50th Anniversary of the JFK Assassination.
On November 22nd Friday, 1963 the then U.S. President John “Jack” F. Kennedy was assassinated in the Dealey Plaza in Dallas Texas, USA at a time of 12:30 Central Standard Time.
And that’s about the only FACT that everyone (well mostly) will agree on.
THE FACTS as the government still stands by are found in a set of volumes called The Warren Commission Report. Found here.
According to this report the WAS NO CONSPIRACY.
Now the problem is that the Report of the Select Committee on Assassinations of the U.S. House of Representatives (1976-1978) also a very official government investigation,throws a turd in the punchbowl and says THERE WAS A CONSPIRACY and that there was a “high probability” of there being a second gunman. report found here

Had the commission known of the plots, it would have followed a different path in its investigation. The Agency unilaterally deprived the commission of a chance to obtain the full truth, which will now never be known(emphasis my own-EvS). Significantly, the Warren Commission’s conclusion that the agencies of the government co-operated with it is, in retrospect, not the truth. We also now know that the Agency set up a process that could only have been designed to frustrate the ability of the committee in 1976-79 to obtain any information that might adversely affect the Agency. Many have told me that the culture of the Agency is one of prevarication and dissimulation and that you cannot trust it or its people. Period. End of story. Well o.k. the government’s story is fucked and doesn’t add up. There is doubt and has been deliberate obfuscation and evidence tampering by various members and employees of the U.S. Government Q-So did they lie? A- It depends on which “they” you are talking about.

I’m not even going to go into a huge investigation here as we do stand on the shoulders of giants in terms of research that has been done. Not to say that there hasn’t been some good evidence dug up in recent years, there has and still ongoing as people involved (from that time) are dying off. Some of them are developing on conscience in later life and are starting to let people know where the skeletons are buried.
The JFK Assassination is the grand phuba of all conspiracy theories even bigger than aliens or Area 51. Problem is though over the years were finding out that it’s not just a “theory”. For myself the JFK Assassination is a personal journey, the event and subsequent events around it. It’s the first time I found myself questioning “authority” or “the establishment”, the proverbial crack in the facade, the peak behind the curtain. I was not born yet when JFK was assassinated. For myself it was when Egyptian President Anwar Sadat was shot during a military parade on T.V. This was October 6th 1981. My mother had commented something to the effect “its like the Kennedy’s all over again” and she was visibly upset. I remember asking who the Kennedy’s were and she talked about it a little. Also about that time there were some news features about the JFK Assassination drawing parallels between Sadat’s Assassination and JFK’s.
Being an inquisitive young man I started reading everything I could find on JFK from our local library. Luckily there was a series of sympathetic librarians out there (God bless em) who probably didn’t take to well to having a book depository besmirch the cause of literacy. In later teenage years wine, woman and song took over and “conspiracy” research was relegated to the back burner. I joined the army (Infantry initially, a few years Artillery and then back to the Infantry) and it was during that time amongst other “good shots” that the JFK Assassination kept cropping up in professional conversations.
General consensus:
there was a second gunman and that the “official” version of events was bullshit.
I was a qualified Canadian Master Marksman-“Crossed Rifle Crown” (PWT Level 3-now this ranking has since changed but at the time was still in effect) and qualified (at various times) Sharpshooter and Expert for Rifle while working with various U.S. units. I was also a qualified small arms instructor while serving in the Infantry, and am an active shooter as a now private citizen. So not an “armchair” general when talking about ballistics or firearms. It is in my expert opinion that there were 2 gunman *at least* on Nov.22nd 1963 in Dealey Plaza involved in JFK’s Assassination and that Lee Harvey Oswald DID NOT ACT ALONE.
Personally I think Lee Oswald was involved and was deliberately left to be the “fall-guy”. I believe he thought he was on the inside and it was only after that he figured it out that he was “just a patsy”(Lee’s words).
As a result of my over a decade of service and comparing media reports with “ground truth” and the advent of the Internet I became a “conspiracy theorist”. I prefer “researcher” to avoid the negative connections with Conspiracy Theorist and strive to keep to the facts. Just as a disclaimer I have not and will not violate any terms of the “Official Secrets Act” or now known as the “Security of Information Act”-2001, as outlined in the document I was “asked” to sign. Nor those “agreements” of allied nations units which I had served with. Other than that though if it is in the realm of public domain or not involved with my service time, it’s game on. I need to put that out there for folks who have wrote nice letters to me hinting at aforementioned Acts and those who wonder why I don’t cover some topics.
Unfortunately the “JFK research community” is very divided and like many academics, the rhetoric and rivalries can get pretty heated. This just detracts from the real goal- find out what really happened!
