This should be an interesting one for a few reasons. The next few meetings just might reveal the next U.S. Presidential and Canadian Prime Ministerial hopefuls or at least it’ll be a great puppet show. To say the Bilderberg Group are king makers is an understatement. However this year I’m not so sure it’s about all that and more about what the hell do we do about the western model of governance falling apart.
They don’t so much decide who will be in power but they do get an out sized say in who runs for the power and make sure they have influence in those with the powers group. This years show has been announced for 9-12 April 2026 in Washington D.C. at the Salamader Hotel. This will be their 72nd meeting.
As usual I will feature and edited list of the North American and International bodies reps. I’ll leave the European ones to my contemporaries in the EU as the majority of our membership is in North America.
The announced topics to be covered in their discussions this year is as follows:
-
- AI : this has been an ongoing concern for Bilderberg for at least the last 8 years. They are putting money and time on this. “The West” as it is wants this before their competitors. It also helps them out with their planned surveillance grid, through Palantir and others, as well as “autonomous governance“.
- Arctic Security : it’s about them resources and the northern passage dream, also keeping the Chinese and Russians in check. Which is funny China calls itself “ a near arctic state” being nowhere near it but again it’s about the resources.
- China: Seems to be Trump’s favourite word to say lol. In all seriousness though you can’t have a meeting of running the world without talking about China. What’s their plans on Taiwan, can we do anything about it? How good is their AI? Do we compete or cooperate with space exploration and travel? Lot’s of questions and too few answers. It really doesn’t help when it’s a media black hole and Xi Jinping keeps purging everyone around him.
- Digital Finance: these bastards really want that digital currency and control. Control what you can buy or sell and when and to whom. They also want to be able to turn off that tap. Like the Freedom Convoy/ Trucker protests ,during Covid, in Ottawa getting their accounts frozen. You can still get around that with cash. Your would be overlords don’t want that!
- Energy Diversification: pretty much as it sounds. By now they realize the gig is up on renewable energy being the be all end all. It’s viable as long as you understand it’s limitations and that it can’t do it alone. There needs to be redundancy. But mostly this as usual is about control. How do we control the energy that keep those peasant’s warm at night.
- Europe: crashing demographics not seen since the Black Plague, too many immigrants draining tax revenues, the baby boomers retiring en mass. Individual EU countries pushing back on central control from Brussels. Here’s Dave to tell us a bit about that!
-
- Global Trade: trade equals money. Kind of a no brainer there. Big focus is going to be on shipping, the so called “ghost fleet” and that individual countries are now going after those ships, also called Russia’s “shadow fleet“. These were the ships trying to get around various sanctions on Russia and Iran by using old tankers unregistered and no transponders.
- The Middle East: Of consequence currently is the Strait of Hormuz and Iran. The fighting there has choked out 20% of global oil supply. Which will have major down stream costs for pretty much everything. Mainstream media focuses on the gas, diesel and oil part of that equation. What’s only being whispered in academia and strategic planning is fertilizer. That kind of an out sized impact for that area of the world could result in future starvation. Combine increased costs of food distribution because of the fuel costs now double whammy it with fertilizer shortages. The richer countries will be able to afford it and poorer ones to bad.
- Russia: they really are fucking things up with this war in Ukraine. I don’t care about the Putin simps arguments the Russians are clearly the bad guys on this one. Although they of course see themselves fulfilling their destiny or right. Feel free to have an honest discussion without propaganda on that one. It’s pretty straight forward. It was always going to happen and Putin even wrote an essay on what he wanted to do. Problem is nobody read it. Here’s it is in English automatically right from the Kremlin but unsecure. Here is a secure discussion on it. Maybe they should! Also part of the discussions is potential Russian collapse after Putin. What about those nukes? How that would change the political landscape, treaties, trade. Who would profit from that? What kind of security vulnerabilities will that bring the world? Could an even worse dictator arise? Lot’s of questions. Also because of the war in Iran do we need to let Russian oil back into the regular market?
-
- Trans-Atlantic Defence-Industrial Relationship: one of the things “the west” runs on is defence tech and armaments trade and sales. Trump’s actions have left huge doubts in Europe and abroad that the U.S. can be reliable anymore. One good thing that came out the chaos is that Canada and the EU are taking defence spending seriously again and that they can’t just let the U.S. pay for everything military related. A major sticking point is Trump and his sanctions policy. Although I have to say I have enjoyed seeing Trump shake things up, these sanctions are really screwing up trade and not helping anyone. Clearly he thinks it’s a good thing but it’s not panning out that way for the U.S. or anyone else. With the U.S. becoming increasingly isolationist or “retrenchment” to use the PC phrase, the world can count less on the U.S. acting as the world’s policeman and protector of maritime trade. The U.K. and France can protect maybe the Atlantic trade of some of the near east but that’s about it. The US is doing a major shift to the Pacific and concentrating on it’s near abroad ie Central and South America and the Caribbean. Some will put this on Trump but it’s being going on since Obama and carried on ever since. Europe although it is starting to bring back it’s defence industry still needs the U.S. to provide ammunition and weapons. Russia can produce more artillery shells in a month than most individual states can in a year.
- Ukraine: Russia wants it to secure resources, farmland and to secure it’s geographic borders. The West wants it to protect Europe and for it’s resources. This is why it’s important and that both “sides” want the same thing. Can they share? Compromise? What about the Ukrainians living there? Anybody care what they think? The potential for war involving NATO and Russia , and maybe it’s allies, is a big risk that everyone has been dancing around for awhile now. It’s going to be a big discussion this year if you take at a good showing of Ukrainian representatives at this years meeting.
- USA: The world’s largest economy and world reserve currency. Anyone can shit on the U.S. all it wants but at the end of the day would you rather they control things or the Chinese Communists? Trump is bringing the U.S. back to focusing on it’s own interests and removing itself from international concerns. The problem with that is if you want to be the world’s reserve currency you have certain obligations that go along with those perks. The big one of those is security of world shipping. Sure the U.S. takes the burden of defence spending and security costs of world trade but they are also the biggest benefactor of holding the world reserve currency. The U.S. also started the new western order post WW2. Are they still committed? Or are we looking at an upcoming Hanseatic League style of America?
- Future of Warfare: drone warfare sure changed things up. When a $50K drone can destroy a $6 plus million tank or jet ski drones taking out Russian navy ships. Having said that for all the drone hype they didn’t replace anything but they did become part of the new requirements for modern armies and the West needs to adapt. This is no different than when cyber warfare became a thing in the 90’s. The drone’s need to be adopted as we have seen in the war in Ukraine. AI also plays into this for things like drone swarms, autonomous wing men for the airforce and probably long range bombers. Another lesson the war in Ukraine has shown is just how unprepared the West is for a major war. Artillery shell use in Ukraine is outstripping most the the West’s ability to keep up with demand.
- The West: How now brown cow? Where are we and where are we going? The Western relationship and purpose seems to be fragmenting. Mostly this is self inflicted with ridiculous culture wars and increasingly extreme political partisanship and tribalism. Maybe if the elites were less concerned about keeping the peasants fighting among themselves we wouldn’t be in this position. That’s the problem with trying to “be in control” or power, you get more worried about losing it than anything else. The so called “Socratic Guardians” have forgotten their duty. The noblesse oblige has gone if it ever existed other than an ideal. Maybe these elites need to bring back that mindset. That they have an obligation to those under them socially and financially. To me that is the real problem in the West currently. We will always have income and influence inequality that’s been a constant in the human condition no matter what political or financial system we have had. Another thing that has never changed is that when the elites get too greedy and fail to look after the needs of those with less it inevitably leads to their downfall.
Bilderberg Members (North America)
This year’s showing of Canadian members is non existent outside of Chrystia Freeland. I’m guessing because they
already have Canada in the bag through their man Mark Carney who is now Canada’s Prime Minister. He was also a past member and steering committee member. There is a national Liberal Party convention going on in Montreal at the same time so I’m guessing that’s where a few of the Canadian Bilderberg members are instead of at the meeting. Be sure to watch them pound the last nails into the coffin of Canadian democracy.
Abrams, Stacey (USA), CEO, Sage Works Production, Bilderberg Steering Committee and a long time participant since at least 2019. This is what “controlled opposition” looks like. Founder and Chair, Fair Fight . NAACP lecturer and social justice mover and shaker. Also being funded by Google and prominent with the U.S. Democrats. Always a bridesmaid and never a bride. Really famous for losing every time she takes a run at the governor spot for Georgia.
Applebaum, Anne (USA), Staff Writer, The Atlantic. “Russia expert” having specialized in writing about Soviet/Russian history and politics. Also a member of the Council for Foreign Relations. Anne has become a regular participant. Look to see her on the steering committee at some point. As a CFR member she also has some influence on U.S. policy makers.
Bourla, Albert (USA),Chairman and CEO, Pfizer Inc. There to talk about Covid and Big-Pharma‘s ability to profit (Bilderberg people) and ability to deal with pandemics. 4th appearance.
Burgum, Douglas (USA), Secretary of the Interior. First time attendee from what I can find. Politics he’s a republican was a popular governor of North Dakota for 2 terms then ran as a presidential candidate. Gave it to Trump and ran as an advisor to his campaign. Now he manages as Secretary of the Interior- federal lands, national parks, and energy development. Really hates wind farms apparently. Not sure if he’s presidential material or not. Could be they’ll run him at the end of Trump’s term if he checks out.
Clark, Jack (USA), Co-Founder & Head of Policy, Anthropic PBC Why in the fuck does this guy want to sell your kids AI stuffed animals? One of the leading companies in the AI race. Was at the meeting last year so clearly made an impression.
Driscoll, Daniel P. (USA), Secretary of the Army hey Daniel you want to do a coup? First time attendee. Trump guy through J.D.Vance, see Peter Thiel for Bilderberg connection. Which is weird Thiel isn’t attending this year. Daniel has a good service record with the army. Apparently butts heads with Pete Hegseth the U.S. Secretary of War. Another reason he was invited other than to discuss U.S. commitments in Europe and actions in the Middle East. Economy, Elizabeth (USA), Hargrove Senior Fellow, Stanford University
Ferguson, Niall (USA), Milbank Family Senior Fellow, Stanford University. I’ve got Niall as an attendee going back to 2015. Seems Stanford puts out a lot of people who join these kinda groups. Niall appears on the Hoover Institutes youtube channel as a regular speaker and he is pretty knowledgeable. One of those guys who can show up to a meeting and pretty much be an expert on whatever the hell the feels like talking about. I can see why they keep inviting him. I can also see why he will probably never be on the steering committee. The elites like having the professor types in to have a chat and fill them in on topics and maybe even challenge them on ideas. But when decisions are being made they are shown the door. I really recommend anyone into politics and big think topics to check out the Hoover Institute youtube page. It’s a free education.
Foroohar, Rana (USA), Associate Editor, Financial Times. First timer. Wrote a book about the problem with actively managed funds which could be a case for AI managed funds instead? She is a financial policy subject expert always an item for elites at Bilderberg. She has also wrote and been part of a lot of different publications. Being an editor in their group also means getting information first before print and also if she plays ball suppressing stories.
Freeland, Chrystia (CAN/UKR), Special Representative for the Reconstruction of Ukraine. I think this is her 3rd or 4th meeting. She is ball’s deep in western elite game. I really think she’s plays dumb as a disarming tactic. Either that or she is just that well connected. Now also Warden of the Rhodes Trust and CEO of the Rhodes Trust. There to talk Ukraine as a westerner and to clarify anything that gets lost in translation. She will be there with Terekh, Iryna (UKR), CEO and CTO, Fire Point LLC to talk about Ukraines Flamingo Cruise Missle that she created and Urkaine’s defence industry. Also Kamyshin, Oleksandr (UKR), Advisor to the President of Ukraine for Strategic Affairs also to talk about the war and defence industry. He is a very big deal in the Ukrainian defence industry, think if Elon Musk was a guns and gear guy and Ukrainian. These three will be there to pitch everything Ukraine to the Bilderberg Group.
Georgieva, Kristalina (INT), Managing Director, IMF- likes authoritarianism, climate concerns and secured the largest donations to the IMF in it’s history. Everything the Bilderberg Group loves. First time attendee.
Greer, Jamieson (USA), United States Trade Representative. First timer. Was involved in both Trump presidencies. Dealt with NAFTA, CUSMA/USMCA and China trade. Exactly the guy they want to talk to. Subject matter expert.
Harrington, Kevin (USA), Former Senior Director for Strategic Planning, National Security Council. Past Managing Director, Thiel Capital LLC:Bilderberg Groups inroad to the Trump administration. Mutiple year attendee.
Kagan, Kimberly (USA), President, Institute for the Study of War: first timer. Taught at West Point, Yale and Georgetown. Published in Wall Street Journal and other big publications. Worked with Joint Campaign Plan Assessment Team for Multi-National Force Iraq and CENTCOM, Afghanistan head shed planning department. So she knows the operations planning part of war or at least in the GWOT sense. I don’t think she’s a one trick pony though. There to talk on a few of their topics.
Karp, Alex (USA), CEO, Palantir Technologies Inc. Bilderberg Steering Committee. I’ve got Alex on the Bilderberg Bingo card since 2013. I’d say this self described “socialist” has an acrobatic moral compass but I don’t really think he has one. He had no problem data mining for the CIA and Cambridge Analytica. Guy has too much money so nobody really calls him out on his bullshit.
Kirtley, David (USA), CEO, Helion Energy: first timer. Creator of the worlds first fusion plant apparently. IF this guy pulls this off it WILL change the world. Stay tuned. My guess is he will need a shit ton of more investment which means he is probably damned close to pulling it off. Clearly somebody on the steering committee believes he can do it.
Kotkin, Stephen (USA), Senior Fellow, Hoover Institution, Stanford University: Professor, Author, Academic, writer. One of the western world’s leading Russia experts. Affiliated with Princeton and other Ivy Leagues
Repeat attendee. Another guy I enjoy listening to debating other people at the Hoover Institute.
Kratsios, Michael (USA), Director, White House Office of Science and Technology Policy: AI guy and Thiel protege. Repeat attendee.
Kravis, Henry R. (USA), Co-Chairman and Co-CEO, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.: Husband of Steering Committee member Marie-Josee Kravis. Money guy and funds a few boards at prestigious universities and various corporate boards, trusts, etc. Repeat attendee, so is his wife list below. They have Richie Rich money and are huge investors and give money to lots of schools etc. Also getting sued by the U.S. Justice Department. Your in the big leagues when the government sues you.
**Kravis, Marie-Josée (USA), President of American Friends of Bilderberg Inc.; Senior Fellow, Hudson Institute:, Co-Chair Bilderberg Meetings; Chair, The Museum of Modern Art. Repeat attendee. Her and her husband are looking to be the new Henry Kissingers if he was a democrat.
Lighthizer, Robert (USA), Chair, Center for American Trade: 3rd year attendee. This is Bilderberg stacking the deck and making sure they have some of their people near Trump. He’s also one the guy’s who think tarrifs from the 1800s are awesome. Also in the trade delegation for the current USMCA
McGurk, Brett (USA), Global Affairs Analyst, CNN: first time attendee. Talk about underselling, Brett isn’t just a “global affairs analyst”. He served George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Donald Trump, and Joe Biden in various national security positions. He’s really slumming it with CNN. I’m guessing it’s his retirement gig to get him out of the house. No surprise he’s another Stanford guy. Subject matter expert.
Micklethwait, John (USA), Editor-in-Chief, Bloomberg LP, Bilderberg Steering Committee. Part of Bilderberg’s Operation MOCKINGBIRD.
Murati, Mira (USA), CEO, Thinking Machines Lab: First timer. AI subject matter expert.
Orszag, Peter R. (USA), CEO and Chair, Lazard: I have Peter going back to the 2011 meeting when he was there as Vice Chairman, Citigroup Global Markets, Inc. He left that in 2016 to become CEO and Chair at Lazard. He has also been a budget guy under Obama. So he’s a money guy who also worked with Citigroup. Maybe there to vet out other subject matter experts and would actually understand the finances and knows what to ask. He has also integrated AI into operations at Lazard.
Paparo, Samuel (USA), Commander, US Indo-Pacific Command: there to talk about India and China, was also there last year.
Perryman, Skye (USA), President and CEO, Democracy Forward: first timer. In various legal battles with the Trump administration. There to give an presentation is my best guess.
Schadlow, Nadia (USA), Senior Fellow, Hudson Institute: repeat attendee, staggered years. Foreign policy and defence expert.
Schimpf, Brian (USA), Co-Founder & CEO, Anduril Industries: another former Palantir/Thiel guy. Defense tech-AI. Was there last year.
Schmidt, Eric E. (USA), Executive Chair and CEO, Relativity Space Inc, Bilderberg Steering Committee. Been around since at least 2011. Ran Google 2001-2011. Left Alphabet in 2020. Also a subject matter expert in AI. The elites are finally taking the space race seriously again. Let’s hope it’s more like Star Trek than Gattaca. The way these guys run though I’m guessing the later.
Sewell, Terri (USA), Member of Congress: First time. Democrat. Guessing there to give her side of the story for the USA portion of the discussion. Might be testing her out as well.
Shirzad, Faryar (USA), Chief Policy Officer, Coinbase. First timer. Goldman Sachs advisor 2016. National Security Council at the White House from March 2003 through August 2006. Coinbase 2021. Subject matter expert
Smith, Brad (USA), Vice Chair and President, Microsoft Corporation:AI subject matter expert. First timer
Smith, Jason (USA), Member of Congress. Republican. Was there last year and I still don’t know why he is there. Maybe he’s their guy? Will be there to talk about the U.S. situation…..for now.
Wang, Alexandr (USA), Chief AI Officer, Meta: First timer. Subject matter expert
Zakaria, Fareed (USA), Host, Fareed Zakaria GPS: Made the steering committee. 3rd year on record. There for a few reasons:CNN and New York Times. Also he is a well read by the non lunatic left democrats and seems to have a pulse on Trump from that perspective. Welcome to another face of the OP Mockingbird Bilderberg Edition courtesy of CNN!
Here’s where I need to give a tip of the hat to Dan Dicks from “Press for Truth” one of the very few journalists to actually
cover the Bilderberg Group on youtube at least. And this particular video he does an awesome summary of what they want and what’s at stake!
Thanks for tuning in! -EvS
