Frankensteins Army is a horror film brought to us from the same creator of the film Worst Case Scenario ( Directed by Richard Raaphorst).And it would seem you just can’t keep a good zombie down.

Although The Worst Case Scenario was shelved due to funding there are hints of a resurrection. However Frankstein’s Army looks like it will incorporate elements from that film and the film has been picked up by MPI Media Group as reported on the Brutal as Hell website by Marc Patterson ( Managing Editor and founder):

“Yesterday we showed you the awesome teaser trailer for Richard Raaphort’s World War II Nazi Monster movie. The spliced newsreel footage was creepy and had me anxious to see more. Today we learn that MPI Media Group, Dark Sky Films parent company, has entered a co-production deal with XYZ Films and Pellicola of Amsterdam to get Raaphorst’s film made. MPI is going to take care of the financing while Pellicola and XYZ will handle international sales. The plan is to start shooting this spring (not too far away) in Prague and Amsterdam and have everything wrapped later this year. That means we could possibly be seeing this by November, Decemberish. However, my gut instinct tells me that with the schedule in place Dark Sky may premiere Frankenstein’s Army next spring at SXSW, as they are with Ti West’s latest film, The Innkeepers this year.”-end quote ( emphasis added my own- EvS)
The film reminds me of the 70’s style of horror filming/grindhouse that some people might think kind of cheesy but when its just you with the lights off in the middle of the night your going to get creeped out!
As well Frankenstein’s Army looks very imaginative and has Nazi Zombies! They always make the creepiest zombies as anyone knows about the evil experiments and things that they did back in WW2. The premise as far as I understand it is the Nazis'( near the end of the war) find Frankstein’s book and are able to make undead super soldiers by using it. Takes place on the Ost Front (Eastern Front). If the zombies are even half as good as The Worst Case Scenario creatures this will be the zombie movie of the year easily for 2011!
The website right now is just a place holder but is creepy in the Frankensteinish evil scientist manner.

Where and when will Frankenstein’s Army (or Army of Frankenstein)take its place amongst lots of other great evil Nazi Zombies such as the classic Shock Waves (1977- Starring Peter Cushing ) and the more recent Dead Snow
