why the elites fear change

The elites fear change as it disrupted their need for power and control. Change means that the rules change and like all change (for anyone really) provides uncertainty. Political power equals economic power. A few points in history have brought change to the elites power structure-

the Black Plague in the mid 1300’s disrupted the labor pool and the land lords did not have a ready pool of serfs to work their land and pay rents. Serfs suddenly found they did not have to work for free as they could hire out their services to others willing to pay for lack of manpower. Quite by accident there was a suddenly found freedom for regular people. The lords and barons tried to institute laws that would punish peasants from leaving the lands they were allotted to but this didn’t pan out and in England resulted in the Peasants Revolt 1381 .

And not unlike the OWS movement they took over the Tower of London and most of London itself. Ultimately it petered out but the peasants did get some needed reforms and it started the end of Feudalism in that part of the world.
On the Continent was the Hussite Wars resulting from the powers that be at the time mostly The Church telling people how to think and what to believe from about 1420-1434. In Germany in the 1500’s was the so called Peasants War.

Later Protestant Reformation and further down the line the French Revolution played their roles in overturning the old elites.

When the Industrial Revolution came into play many of the elites at the time did what they could to slow it down or stifle innovation. All for naught on their part as a new set of elites came into being and the old ones that didn’t adapt or change fell in political obscurity.

So that brings us up in 5 minutes or less to the present day, lol. So what’s coming up that the current power structure is doing everything it can to clamp down? Why the big rush to consolidating political power into smaller and fewer hands? I’m sure the peasants of the medieval period had no idea of the wider implications of their actions or that the plague had swept the modern world of the time. Their concept of the rest of the world was limited to maybe a vague idea their was a kingdom and somewhere else their were other kingdoms. When the “Industrial Revolution” was unfolding did anyone really consider it a revolution or just that times were changing?
 
So the $64,000 question is what is currently going on right now.  The elites aren’t idiots, just really short sighted power freaks. Is it the so called “Information Age“? At no other time can anyone, relatively speaking, access information from anyone or anywhere else in the world at any time and almost instantly. Information is also power and if you cant control information then that is that much less power you have over others. Why do you think there are all of these attacks against internet freedom? The smoke screen being copyrights and media fat cats losing business. People aren’t taking in the usual brainwashing through conventional media (conditioning) anymore and are going to alternative sources for information and editorial opinion (thanks for tuning in here for that matter).

So is it the power of political, media and economic power they fear? Probably, things can be that simple and it’s a pretty base reaction. Combichrist– Fuck that shit!
