We threw some 2013 predictions out there tail end of last year even though predicting the future is a fool’s game.
So here’s a quick summary of those predictions and what did come to pass (or did not):
Bilderberg Group exposure in 2013–
I predicted there would be more of it and well yes there was but was anyone listening? It would seem the Bilderberg game plan of putting a public face on the organization has worked a little but this still hasn’t stopped protestors and others from exposing them for who the really are. For once though it would seem main stream news actually took an interest.
Syria and Iran
I thought for sure Syria would have a new regime more friendly to Western interests there by now and it sure wasn’t for lack of trying by the western elite’s. But it looks like peace broke out? Assad called the trump and offered up his chemical weapons and Russia quickly backed up their client on that one. The U.S. and NATO allies had to eat crow and actually live up to their ideals. Syria is still fucked up with roaming bands of Islamic militants setting up their own fiefdoms and creating havoc. The Syrian government are no angels either and are racking up their own impressive human rights violations but it would seem Russia is coaching Assad on how to avoid being overthrown. Puts a bit of a crimp on the NWO plans for that region. But now Saudi Arabia , a key player in the region and not just a puppet, claims it will stick to its own agenda regardless if the West has backed down.
Not surprisingly nobody invaded Iran as we “predicted”. Really this one was a no brainer. Really good luck to anyone with that. Invading there would make Iraq during the occupation look like a walk in the park. Some quick maneuvering by the Iranian government and being more open about their nuclear program helped to be sure. Then again though the plans aren’t off the table yet for the U.S/UK
The Economy
I’ll just post what I said last year here. Pretty much sums it up.
“The economy…...
Its not that it’s getting better, people are just getting used to it sucking. And large companies (including governments) will continue to use it as an excuse to fuck over their workers. Expect to see an American equivalent of the EU austerity measures. Taxes for the wealthy will go through, cuts (probably just reshuffling) to the military. Banks will continue to post record profits. Somebody might just say the D word instead of insisting the last 5 years are a Recession. I don’t see a collapse as yet but you will hear allot more discussion about going back to a gold standard.”
The Internet
not a whole lot just an upsurge in hacking, which wasn’t exactly hard to predict. Gmail,Twitter and Facebook had 2 million accounts hacked. DefCon 2013 was interesting but didn’t make the news as much as Black Hat USA 2013 in Las Vegas where the head of the NSA got called on his bullshit.
Probably the biggest event was the Edward Snowden leaks which sent many in the intelligence world scrambling to avoid the shit hitting the proverbial fan. The exposure of PRISM and other revelations have now changed the relations of many in the world and hopefully woken up many of the “nay sayers” who called us conspiracy kooks for putting this out there! Needless to say the hits will keep coming. ZNet does a really good article with slide show here (just click on the arrows by the picture) showing an ongoing timeline of the Edward Snowden leaks.
The Gun Grab
didn’t happen. any probably (hopefully?) won’t? Hard to say on this one folks. It will ALWAYS be a threat looming over everyone’s heads and there is no shortage of people who don’t understand (or don’t care) that a gun grab will just lead to tyranny. History shows that time and again throughout all cultures and across the planet that when a state disarms a populace tyranny follows. That’s a historical fact and just because we think we are enlightened today doesn’t mean a damned thing, every people of every age thought they were enlightened. So for me it’s a closed issue but anyone who disagrees that’s fine too. Stay tuned I will be doing an article devoted to “The Gun Grab”
Summary
I’ll come up with a list of the top stories of 2013 in summation. Before weeks end. Been a good year with lots of contributions, new readers and growing social media. Thank you all for tuning in.
