Sometimes there is a really weird synchronicity to things.
About a month ago one of the EvS staff brought me a copy of the”The Walking Dead” comic book. Its about a group of people traveling through the zombie infested Apocalypse in America.
The other day I see a commercial on AMC for The Walking Dead TV show. Seems like it sticks pretty close to the comic with some differences Im sure but looks really good.

Checking out AMC’s site for the show seems really interactive and has lot’s of great behind the scenes extras – a real treat for those who like to hear from the creators and effects people. There are a lot of heavy hitters behind this show like Frank Darabont ( The Mist, Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption, etc) as the writer, Gregory Nicotero is doing the effects and make-up ( The Mist, Spiderman 3, Texas Chainsaw Massacre -2006 version, Bride of the Re-Animator, Evil Dead 2 and lots of others)- and Gregory definatly has the chops to do this show!!
Lennie James is also going to be in the show. He played Robert Hawkins in Jericho, where in the beginning he was my favorite guy to hate but later became my favorite character in the whole show. 
So the release date for The Walking Dead is October 31st Halloween at 10PM EST on AMC ( subject to change check local listings)!!!
While shows like this are considered entertainment by some those of us “in the know” realize their value as “training films” for the inevitable Zombie Apocalypse -coming to a massacre near you – EvS
