The band called The Misfits has been one of the most influential underground bands in North America if not the world. ( at least in my opinion anyway)Despite controversy surrounding the members, the bands various incarnations and side projects they have been an influence on many groups, musicians and folks round the world. I could probably write a ten volume encyclopedia on them but todays blog is about the inspiration behind the music.

My brother and I were “monster kids” growing up with Elvira, The Ghoul, Count Gore De Vol and other weekend and late night horror hosts ( where the frick were my parents? LOL). So in our teens along comes a band called The Misfits and it would appear to us at that time in the early 80s that all of their albums and songs were based on horror movies!! Funtastic! Stupendous!Horrorific!! It was a perfect fit. My brother and I set out to try and get all of the movies that influenced the Misfits to write those songs and its been a journey through all of the different mediums from VHS onward. So below I have tried to create a list of Misfits songs and albums with a link to the horror movie named after it where applicable. Like I said most of the songs not all of them.
