From Dee-
Thanks to YOU, we have moved a mountain…
THE SENATE AMENDED BILL C-6 “SIGNIFICANTLY” AND IT IS NOW HEADED BACK TO PARLIAMENT!
PLEASE NOTE…. THE WAR IS NOT WON, BUT THIS WAS A MAJOR SAVE ON OUR PART, GIVING US TIME TO ENSURE THE PRESERVATION OF OUR RIGHTS!
Bill C-6 will be on the Order Paper in Parliament after Christmas break, at the beginning of February. That means that we still have a huge fight on our hands because the CON-servatives
hold a solid minority and the other parties voted FOR the bill before….
Note that with the exception of our First Champion, Senator Elaine McCoy, who is listed as a Conservative, the Liberal Senate Caucus carried the day for Canadians, notwithstanding that they had to break ranks with Ignatieff to do so! They deserve a vote of thanks from us all, for standing up and doing the job they are meant to do. Christmas cards would be nice!
Please do NOT do what some sports teams do… assume that because you’re up a point, you’ve won the game. It’s far from over. But what we have done, in our unified approach hammering home the responsibilities of the Senate to protect and defend the Constitution, has shaken the dust off the Chamber and given it a new momentum, which hopefully we can count on in future, as more bad bills come down the pike, such as C-101 and C-60.
We must watch diligently now as the globalist interests have suffered a setback and will be pulling out all the stops, but we have the truth on our side in the Constitution, and we must stand up for it.
Senator Jaffer, of BC, made a speech today based on her own experience as a refugee from
Idi Amin’s terroristic regime
in Uganda. She said,
“Every single right matters, and we can’t afford to let any
one of them go.”
Enjoy the holidays, all of you, but please keep in touch because we will have to strategize the battles ahead while we can, and also move on MP’s in their own ridings, as they go around shaking hands and drinking egg nog. We cannot let our focus be lost, but please do gather your strength, rest your minds and consider
what has just passed.
What we did together was
truly miraculous.
May that feeling of satisfaction reside with you throughout the holidays…
Stay CONNECTED, because
THE PEOPLE, UNITED, WILL
NEVER BE DEFEATED!
Merry Christmas, Everyone!

Senators dispute inspectors’ power to enter homes under new bill

Federal Health Minister Leona Aglukkaq’s skirmishes with the Liberal-dominated Senate exploded into full battle yesterday as two more members of the red chamber assailed tough measures in the new consumer product safety law she has championed.
Nfld. Sen. George Furey argued Bill C-6, which garnered all-party support in the House of Commons before it rose for the Christmas break, contains sections that are “rather outrageous” and “quite unconstitutional.”
Both he and Alberta Sen. Tommy Banks proposed amendments to the bill, even though changes proposed by a third Liberal senator last week were narrowly defeated.
UNSAFE PRODUCTS
The legislation would give the federal government more powers to prevent the sale of potentially unsafe products, such as cribs, household items or toys, including the power of mandatory recall.
Furey is particularly concerned at new provisions, focused on home-based businesses, that would let inspectors enter private residences on an administrative warrant to seek potentially unsafe products for sale.
“This is Canada, our homes are an oasis of privacy,” he said.
Current law requires either consent or a criminal warrant before inspectors can enter, Aglukkaq said, which means harm may already have occurred.
As an example, she said that during the H1N1 pandemic, health officials issued warnings about Internet scams involving fake cures for influenza.
“We can’t let homes become safe havens for unscrupulous businesses who want to shield themselves from health care inspectors,” Aglukkaq said.
