I&#8217;ve added links throughout for points of reference.<\/p>\r\n<p>The Black Panthers started as a very effective movement in the U.S. before being infiltrated by the U.S. government and co-opted and\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>later set up to fail through programs such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cia.gov\/readingroom\/keyword\/black-panther-party\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CIA<\/a>&#8216;s <a href=\"https:\/\/spyscape.com\/article\/what-you-probably-dont-know-about-the-black-panthers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OP CHAOS<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/vault.fbi.gov\/cointel-pro\/cointel-pro-black-extremists\/cointelpro-black-extremists-part-02-of\/view\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the FBI<\/a>&#8216;s\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globalsecurity.org\/intell\/ops\/cointelpro.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OP COINTELPRO<\/a> as well as infighting.<\/p>\r\n<p>The panthers should be a case study for
