Interesting things if the Chinese Zodiac has anything to do with it, even it doesn’t! In the year of the Black Snake, strife and change (funny isn’t that Obama’s mantra?) that’s what. Well predictions are usually a fools errand so here we go for shits and giggles some things we think could happen for the year 2013 by looking at some tea leaves.
Bilderberg 2013
some researchers we know have tried tracking down the web-server for the Bilderberg site (yeah I know after 50 years of denial they finally came out of the political closet) and narrowed it down to Netherlands and a few others saying it is hosted by NSA. 2012 was the biggest year to date for public exposure and Bilderberg, I’m guessing, will have even greater exposure in 2013. Let’s hope people start asking even more question and demanding action! Nest meeting will be in Europe (they have tighter gun control laws than in the U.S., lol)
Syria and Iran
In Syria, the Assad regime will topple. Whats left over though is anyone’s guess. Probably something like what happened in Libya (or Iraq) depending on how much foreign intervention occurs and at what stage. Don’t be surprised to see some former big oil company execs at the levers of power.
Iran: nobody is going to invade there. It’s just a good excuse to keep oil prices high (and vis a vis stocks). Worst case scenario a couple of warships shooting back and forth or a cruise missile strike. Best case scenario everyone stops with all the bullshit rhetoric and starts talking common sense. I just don’t think that economically or politically the U.S. could pull off an invasion it would cripple the U.S. However when Iran’s potential nuclear capability comes to attention expect to see more international attention/pressure on Israel to come clean about it’s own nukes. The economy…...
Its not that it’s getting better, people are just getting used to it sucking. And large companies (including governments) will continue to use it as an excuse to fuck over their workers. Expect to see an American equivalent of the EU austerity measures. Taxes for the wealthy will go through, cuts (probably just reshuffling) to the military. Banks will continue to post record profits. Somebody might just say the D word instead of insisting the last 5 years are a Recession. I don’t see a collapse as yet but you will hear allot more discussion about going back to a gold standard.
Internet
Lot’s more hacking. (reason reference the economy). When young, intelligent and underemployed people with good computer skills continue to remain unemployed they gotta make a living. So whether its for “love or money” expect to see a big upsurge in “hacktivism” and for those not so politically inclined just plain old credit card fraud and identity theft.
The Gun Grab
Gun control legislation on a massive scale will be a big political flop. And gun sales will skyrocket. Some of our fellow researchers even go so far as to suggest that in politics nothing happens by accident and that the whole gun scare just helps out the military industrial complex with increased sales, who knows?
The Apocalypse
The Mayans had it wrong it will actually be a zombie ( or rouge planet, asteroid, global warming,aliens,communist,etc) invasion. Don’t worry doom and gloom folks, there will still be plenty of potential world killing reasons to keep us all shit scared ( again reference the economy) and buying things to assuage our fears. There will never be any shortage of folks who think the world is going to end next week, year, or decade. Latest swap is that it is 2035.
A key difference (thanks to Jack Spirko for pointing this one out) between folks who are “prepared” for something and those who are “ready” for a particular event:
Those who are prepared- if it happens then they have plans in place to deal with it and are o.k. if nothing happens.
Those who are “ready”- it has to happen otherwise they have no plan for something not happening. It’s like they want/need it to happen (whatever it is).
